OMA puoti was first opened 1.1.2017 and works as a source of income for over 50 freelance artists. The
name ’OMA’ comes from the words Original Made by Artisans.

All of our products are hand made in Finland and a part of them are made with traditional methods. We
take our unique nature into consideration and aspire to be as ecological as possible. Many of our
products are made of recycled materials. In our shop we have crafts you can’t find anywhere else.
You can also find a small selection of old Finnish design.
Glass we have from brands like Iittala, Riihimäen lasi and Arabia. On top of that we have secondhand
jewelry from Kalevala Koru and Sarpaneva design etc.
The selection in our shop is broader than in our online store, so make sure to pay a visit.

The shop with all it’s treasures is located in one of the oldest buildings in Helsinki, Wanha Bock.
It was built in 1763 and has seen during it’s existence it has seen various stages in the entire history of
Helsinki and Finland.
The milieu is one of a kind with it’s court ceilings and petite rooms that are all unique.
OMA puoti’s atmosphere is calm and welcoming in the busy heart of Helsinki.

Our location, Helsingin Torikorttelit, is in the center and close to a lot of sights. On the other side of the
street you have the Helsinki City Museum and right around the corner you have Senaatintori and the
famous big white Helsinki cathedral.
Within a 200 meter radius you can find the presidential palace and the marketplace from where you can
get a ferry to Suomenlinna, one of the most famous islands in Helsinki.
The golden domes of the beautiful Uspenski Cathedral shine a short walk away.

Welcome to enjoy the old city of Helsinki!
