This model can also hold dollars, rubles and other long banknotes. The upper part of the wallet is made of solid cowhide and the decorative part is vegetable tanned pike leather. The inner parts are cowhide. The long Banknote Department, which is divided into two parts, keeps the different currencies in order, this can accommodate dollars, rubles as well as South Korean won or other means of payment longer than euro banknotes. There are 4 well-groomed card pockets under the driving license flap, which can hold 1-2 cards each, the flip-up flap has a transparent driving license pocket with 3 slit pockets for one card on the other side. Material: The rough-surfaced pike skin is clearly different from the other fish skins we use. The pike has large scales and deep scab pockets, the edges of which remain acidic after the scales are removed, leaving a rough three-dimensional surface. The skin of the pike lasts for years, but due to the unevenness of the surface, hard rubbing is easier to see than in other fish skins.
We make the leather ourselves from the beginning with traditional vegetable tanning. The raw hides of Finnish pike are tanned, and through about 20 work steps, finished tanning leather is produced using tanning methods. The wallets are sewn into finished products in Äetsä.
