Traditional whetstones have been mined and sold millions of stones from Längelmäki for 400 years all over the wolrd. Maybe your grandfather carried a stone from Längelmäki!

In the 19th century the stone had the etiquette with manufacturers logo and slogan "Better, than any other". Around the same time began the industiral manufacturing of grindstone.

Time moves forward, but the slogan from 1800's is also very true in Wästikivi's products.
