The OMA puoti shops product range includes a wide range of fish leather products. The selection includes wallets, card cases, hip flasks, keychains and other small products. Fish skin products are not just embellishments, they are all made to be used and durable.
The most common fish species used in fish skin products are burbot (Lota lota), salmon (Salmo salar), pike (Esox lucius) and pikeperch (Sander lucioperca). Fish skin is processed with traditional vegetable tanning, e.g. using wood bark in Mikkeli as ready-made leather through numerous work steps.
