"Threads of life intertwined – a vow of eternal union. Jewelry made by twisting together two or more metal wires is known in many cultures. In Finland, such pieces—usually made of silver—have been found in hoards ranging from Finland Proper to Salla. The Crusade-era prototype for this ring was discovered at Lampola in Halikko."
